Well it’s not often I get to just “attend” a wedding, let alone in a great spot like a beach in Florida. After photographing over a thousand weddings, I think this is about the 6th or 7th where I just got to be a “guest.” I forced myself to leave the “big-gun” in the car, but couldn’t help but to fire off a couple candids with my point-and-shoot. What a fantastic day and beautiful ceremony as the sun dipped into the Caribbean at Sand Key.

I do some freelance agency work with a Nationwide company out of San Francisco. This month I am excited to announce that three of my images were chosen as award winners in the monthly “Best Of” contest.

Jen & Ryan - First Place - Engagement
I photographed this portrait of Jen and Ryan in the lobby of the Cork Factory Lofts in Pittsburgh’s Strip District. I think capturing the couple’s reflection is a great way to change the mood of the portrait.

Melissa & John - Third Place - Photojournalism
I captured this image of Melissa and John from the overlook on Mount Washington. I love the Pitt skyline in the background.

We found this cool fire escape while trekking around the Geneva College Campus and had a great time capturing some really fun portraits.
It’s hard to call this thing i do “Work.”
Nina Pinto and Genarro Romanello celebrated their wedding this weekend at Saint Sebastian Church in Pittsburgh’s North Hills. The bride described the celebration as Catholic/Indian/Italian. The couple celebrated with friends and family from as far away as Canada, New Zealand, Italy and India. The historic Omni William Penn Hotel was the setting for the exquisite reception. Congratulations to Nina and Genarro!

Melissa and John were married Friday night, September 4th at the historic St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in the Strip District. Their reception was celebrated at the fabulous LeMont Restaurant on Mount Washington. The beautifully lit city of Pittsburgh provided the perfect backdrop for this great evening.
Cheers Missi and John!

What a blast! We met Jennifer and Ryan at the Cork Factory Lofts to begin creating their engagement photographs. Next we trekked down to Point State Park to photograph at the spot where the couple were engaged. What a great night! We’re looking forward to their November nuptials at the University Club!
